Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD, will host a unique conducting workshop for women conductors November 16-17, 2019.
This two-day workshop will place a specific emphasis on the challenges faced by Women conductors but is open to all applicants.
Up to 8 fellows will be selected to participated in this two-day workshop. Fellows will work directly with Maestra Alsop and will have significant podium time. Tuition for Fellows will be $1,000 with scholarships available for participates with demonstrated need.
In addition to the Fellows, up to 25 auditors maybe be selected to participate. Tuition for Auditors will be $500. Scholarships are not available for auditors.
Workshop Repertoire: Brahms Symphony No. 1 and Symphony No. 4
Schedule:
Saturday, November 16, two 3-hour sessions with piano
Sunday, November 17, one 3-hour sessions with piano quintet and one 3-hour session with full orchestra.
Location: Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute in Baltimore Maryland.
Hotel accommodations are not included in the tuition fee.
